How does the booking process work?

Booking a tandem flight with us is very simple. It takes place in 4 steps:

After 20 years in our ideally located office in the Le Marcelly building, just opposite the Mont Chéry gondola lift, we have had to give up our premises.

While we are waiting for a new location to welcome you, we will be managing bookings remotely for the Summer 2026 season. We apologize in advance for not being able to welcome you in person and provide you with all the information you may need.

We hope that the Questions / Answers below will provide you with all the information you need and convince you to come and fly with us. 🙂

After the usual introductions, we will make our way together to the take-off area using the ski lifts.

The ride up takes around 20–25 minutes, and we will arrive at the Mont ChĂ©ry take-off site:
a beautiful gentle slope facing Mont Blanc, ideal for a smooth, stress-free take-off.

Once there:

We will prepare the wing.

You will be equipped with a comfortable harness and a helmet.

You will receive a few simple and reassuring instructions.

This is not skydiving: we do not jump.

We simply walk, gradually increase our pace, and after just a few steps, the wing naturally lifts us off the ground.
There is nothing complicated about it, especially when a gentle headwind helps us.
And if the wing doesn’t inflate properly on the first attempt? No problem at all—we simply reposition it and try again!

Once in the air, your instructor will explain how to settle comfortably into your harness so you can fully enjoy the flight.
The harness is like a real comfortable seat—you’ll see, it’s much more relaxing than most people imagine!

Then it’s time for you to enjoy a truly unforgettable moment, suspended high above the ground.
You will experience an incredible feeling of freedom as you are carried by the air currents, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Depending on the flight you choose, we will extend the journey by taking advantage of thermal lift, the warm rising air currents that allow us to gain altitude.
Every flight is unique and adapted to your wishes as well as the conditions of the day.

Towards the end of the flight, we will usually fly over the village of Les Gets to finish on a high note.
If there is a particular place you would like to fly over, simply let your instructor know. If it can be done safely, they will be happy to make it happen.
We fly for you, to make this experience truly unforgettable.

Landing is nothing to worry about!
Shortly before touching the ground, we simply stand up again and land gently on our feet.

Allow approximately 1 to 1œ hours for the entire experience, depending on the type of flight you choose.

Paragliding is accessible to everyone from the age of 5 years old. However, some of our flights are intended for specific groups:

The « Kid » flight is reserved for children under 12 years old.

The « Évasion » flights are limited to a maximum passenger weight of 80 kg.

The « Classic » and « Classic + » flights are limited to 90 kg.

These weight limits, although well below the maximum capacity of our wings, ensure optimum safety during take-off and landing.

No medical certificate is required to fly. However, certain medical conditions may be incompatible with paragliding (recent surgery, an unhealed sprain, a prosthesis, etc.). Please let us know about any relevant medical information when making your booking.

Yes, tandem paragliding is a highly regulated and very safe activity. All our flights are carried out by state-certified instructors, with extensive experience of mountain flying and local weather conditions.

Pierre-Yves and JoĂ«l, your two main pilots, each have more than 35 years of flying experience and over 20 years of teaching and tandem flying. In other words, you’re in very good hands!

During a tandem flight, the pilot and the passenger share the same fate: they take off together, fly together, and land together. Pilots never take unnecessary risks, either for themselves or for you. Their priority is your safety, comfort, and enjoyment.

Our equipment is regularly inspected and maintained according to strict standards. Every passenger is provided with a comfortable harness, a helmet, and a reserve parachute (carried as a precaution, but almost never used).

And of course, flights only take place when the weather conditions are suitable. If there is any doubt, the flight is postponed or cancelled.

For us, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s the foundation of everything we do.

🚹 Bookings are mandatory. Without a reservation, it is very rare for us to have last-minute availability.
Each flight is planned in advance according to a precise schedule, the weather conditions, and the availability of our two instructors.

We therefore recommend booking as early as possible, especially during the high season (July/August) and on weekends.
👉 This gives you more choice of flight times and increases your chances of flying in the best weather conditions.

💡 Paragliding is highly weather-dependent.
By booking at the beginning of your stay (ideally on Sunday or Monday), you keep the flexibility to reschedule your flight if the weather turns unfavorable.

📅 Good to know: Most holidaymakers book from Saturday to Saturday. As a result, we experience our busiest period between Wednesday and Friday.

You are always welcome to contact us to try your luck with a last-minute booking, but availability is rarely guaranteed.

The price of your flight is inclusive of VAT and includes:

The flight you have chosen,

Supervision by a state-certified instructor,

A valid professional pilot licence,

Professional liability insurance.

⚠ Important: The ski lift ride to the top of Mont ChĂ©ry is not included.

You must either bring a valid lift pass (single ascent ticket or Multipass),

Or pay a €10 supplement directly to your instructor, who will use a points pass for your ascent.

A €10 supplement also applies whenever the ski lifts are closed and the ascent is made by 4×4 vehicle (before 9:30 AM or after 4:30 PM).

đŸ‘šâ€đŸ« JoĂ«l and Pierre-Yves are both State-Certified Paragliding Instructors:
They both hold the BEES 1st Degree – Paragliding qualification, a diploma now officially recognized as equivalent to the DEJEPS (French State Diploma in Youth, Popular Education and Sport).
This qualification allows them to work legally and professionally as tandem paragliding instructors.

In France, the training required to become a paragliding instructor is one of the most comprehensive in the world:
✔ Nearly 2 years of training
✔ Theory, teaching methods, and real-world practical experience
✔ Continuous assessments

⚖ Commercial tandem flights may only be conducted by instructors holding a French State Diploma, a legal requirement for our professional insurance coverage to be valid.

đŸȘȘ Up-to-date Professional Licence:
Joël and Pierre-Yves both hold a valid professional instructor licence, which must be renewed every 5 years through mandatory refresher training.
This ensures they remain up to date with the latest technical developments and regulations in the profession.

đŸ›Ąïž Professional Liability Insurance:
Our activities are covered by a specialized free-flight professional liability insurance policy, which includes every tandem passenger.
It covers any damage that could be caused to a third party during the flight.

🔍 Safety and Equipment:

All flights are carried out using certified equipment

A thorough weather assessment is conducted every day

And we strictly comply with French aviation regulations

Two of our tandem flights include a guaranteed flight duration:

Our instructors always do their very best to meet these guaranteed flight times.
However, it is important to remember that paragliders do not have engines, and flight duration depends entirely on thermal lift (rising warm air currents), which are natural, invisible, and sometimes simply not present.

✋ Despite our experience and expertise, there may be occasions when the flight has to end earlier due to insufficient flying conditions.
In this case, you will only be charged for the flight actually completed, according to the following scale:

⚠ Please note:

If the flight is shortened at the passenger’s request (due to discomfort, stress, motion sickness, or any other reason unrelated to the flying conditions), the full price of the booked flight remains payable, even if the flight duration is shorter.

Special case – Prepaid Gift Vouchers:

If the weather conditions do not allow us to provide the guaranteed flight duration included in your gift voucher, no partial refund will be issued once the voucher has been redeemed.

Instead, we will offer an alternative, such as:

Our goal is always to provide an experience of equivalent value and enjoyment, even when the weather does not cooperate.

Payment is made after your flight, directly at the landing area.

Please make sure you have your preferred payment method ready in advance so as not to delay your instructor, who will often have another flight scheduled immediately afterwards.

Our tandem paragliders are certified for a maximum total take-off weight of 220 kg. This includes the pilot, passenger, and all flying equipment.
Technically, we could fly with passengers weighing up to 115 kg.
However, in practice, we set our limit at 90 kg.

Why do we have a 90 kg limit?

âžĄïž To maintain a comfortable safety margin.
âžĄïž Because the passenger’s participation is essential during both take-off and landing.
A passenger who is heavier than the pilot is more difficult to assist or correct if something doesn’t go as planned.
As 75 kg pilots, we simply do not have the physical strength to recover from certain situations beyond a certain passenger weight.
This could compromise the safety of both pilot and passenger.

What if I weigh between 90 and 100 kg?

In some cases, when the flying conditions are particularly favorable, we may accept a slightly heavier passenger.
However, this must be discussed in advance.
We are always happy to consider each request individually, taking into account:

your exact weight

the forecast wind conditions

the take-off site

your physical condition

⚠ Please be honest about your actual weight

It is essential that you provide your accurate weight when making your booking.
🎯 This allows us to choose the right time slot, the right pilot, and the most suitable wing…
❌ Unfortunately, we have occasionally discovered at take-off that a passenger had deliberately underestimated their weight.
This is uncomfortable, awkward, and can sometimes be dangerous.
We would much rather say « no » beforehand than have to improvise in a potentially unsafe situation.

Weather conditions are an integral part of our sport. Knowing when not to fly is essential to ensuring everyone’s safety.

If we believe that the conditions are not suitable for your flight, we will offer you an alternative appointment, subject to both your availability and ours.

Contrary to popular belief, a beautiful blue sky and plenty of sunshine are not enough to guarantee a great paragliding flight! â˜€ïžđŸ˜…

To fly a paraglider, we rely on rising air currents, also known as thermals.
These are often created by the sun warming the ground, but that’s not the whole story:
🌬 We also need light winds blowing from the right direction.
💡 If the wind is too strong, it can not only prevent us from flying where we want, but also stop good thermals from developing, making longer flights impossible.

🏔 The shape of the terrain, the temperature, the humidity, and the stability of the atmosphere also play an important role.
And if you notice small, fluffy clouds (cumulus clouds) scattered across the sky, that’s often a very good sign—they indicate well-developed thermals!

✅ Early morning and late afternoon are generally calmer, making them perfect for smooth, relaxing flights. Longer or more dynamic flights are usually flown around midday, when thermals are at their strongest.

⛔ If the wind is too strong or the weather becomes unstable (rain, thunderstorms, etc.), we postpone the flight. Your safety is our top priority.

💡 Booking your flight at the beginning of your stay gives you more flexibility to reschedule if the weather isn’t suitable on your original date.

đŸ‘šâ€đŸ« And if you’re curious, your instructor will be delighted to explain everything you need to know about the local weather—it’s a subject we’re truly passionate about!

Yes, absolutely! Many passengers hesitate to come when the sky looks grey or cloudy
 but if we haven’t contacted you to cancel, it means the conditions are good for flying.

In fact, flying on a cloudy day can make the experience absolutely magical ✹
We glide between the clouds, soaring above a soft and mysterious landscape
 a truly timeless experience that is often even more enchanting than flying under a clear blue sky.

☁ However, we never fly inside the clouds.
This is prohibited for safety and visibility reasons. We strictly comply with aviation regulations.

📞 In any case, if you have any doubts, give us a call. We’d much rather take a few minutes to answer your questions than have you cancel at the last minute. 😉

Paragliding takes place in the mountains, and our take-off site is located approximately 600 metres (2,000 ft) above the village of Les Gets.

👉 As a general rule, the temperature drops by about 1°C for every 100 metres of altitude, meaning it’s usually around 6°C colder at take-off…
And that’s before taking into account the apparent wind during the flight or the fact that, in thermal conditions, we often climb several hundred metres above the take-off point.

💡 It’s always better to be slightly overdressed than not warm enough. 😉

Please avoid shorts.

👟 Closed-toe shoes with good grip
You don’t need hiking boots, but your shoes should be closed and provide good traction (such as trail running shoes or walking shoes).

đŸ§„ A jacket with a zip
This is ideal: you can take off with it open, and if you get cold during the flight, simply zip it up. You’ll be glad you brought an extra layer!

🎒 Too warm? No problem.
If you have too many layers or belongings, you can easily store them in the harness pockets provided for that purpose.

đŸš« Important: We do not provide clothing for the flight.
It is the passenger’s responsibility to come properly equipped. Please make sure you are dressed appropriately before your appointment.

đŸ•¶ïž Useful accessories: Sunglasses or prescription glasses.
👉 Don’t worry—it’s virtually impossible to lose them during the flight, even with the Adrenaline Option! 😉

All of our tandem flights take off from a truly exceptional site: the summit of Mont Chéry, located 600 metres (2,000 ft) above the Les Gets valley at an altitude of 1,800 metres (5,900 ft).

The site offers breathtaking views of the entire Mont Blanc mountain range and features several take-off areas facing different directions. This allows us to adapt to changing weather conditions, making flight cancellations very rare.

Access to the summit is either by the ski lifts or by 4×4 vehicle (on a private access road reserved for authorised vehicles).

Our main landing area is the large field located at the entrance to Les Gets, on the Morzine side.

In very rare cases, when specific wind conditions make this landing field too turbulent, we use an alternative that is less technical: the landing area at the bottom of the Boule de Gomme ski slope. Although this configuration is exceptional, it allows us to maintain the highest possible level of safety, whatever the conditions.

Yes, we offer discounts under certain conditions:

✅ €5 off per person for groups of 4 or more, excluding the peak summer season.

✅ Have a valid personal Multipass? Your Photo & Video Package will be included free of charge at the end of your flight!

The meeting point is at the Mont Chéry ski lift station, at the agreed meeting time.

Please arrive a few minutes early so the rest of the group isn’t kept waiting. You can wait at the bottom of the stairs—we’re easy to spot with our large paragliding backpacks!

We are generally very punctual, but occasional slight delays can happen. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.

Good to know
If you plan to purchase your lift ticket (single ascent or Multipass) yourself, please do so before the meeting time to avoid delaying the group’s departure.

It’s a question we hear all the time—and it’s completely normal! Many passengers feel a little nervous before the flight, especially if it’s their first time. But don’t worry: nothing is set in stone. We adapt to you, your pace, and what you’re looking for.

Your pilot has nothing to prove. Their only goal is to give you the experience you came for: a peaceful and relaxing flight, a wonderful feeling of freedom, or a bit more excitement if that’s what you’d like.

When you see paragliders making tight turns or spinning around above you, you can be sure it’s always at the passenger’s request, never something the pilot imposes.

Paragliding is a smooth, gentle, and quiet experience. And if you feel even the slightest discomfort, we can adjust immediately. Everything is under control, and you’ll be in constant communication with your pilot from take-off to landing.

Airsickness, also known as motion sickness, can affect some people who are more sensitive—much like seasickness. It’s uncommon, but we’d rather let you know in advance so we can make your experience as comfortable as possible.

If you’re prone to motion sickness (in the car, on a boat, or on amusement rides), we recommend choosing a shorter and gentler flight, such as the CLASSIC Flight.

This type of flight is generally very well tolerated. It follows a more direct route, without tight turns, allowing you to enjoy the experience in complete comfort.

Longer flights (such as the CLASSIC+ or EVASION flights) make greater use of thermal lift to stay in the air longer. While this makes for an amazing flying experience, it can also create slightly more dynamic sensations.

In all cases, your pilot will listen to you and can adapt both the flight path and the style of flying to suit your comfort. And if you start to feel unwell, they can shorten the flight and land quickly.

Our advice: simply let us know when you book your flight or during the pre-flight briefing. That way, we can recommend the option that best suits you and ensure you have the most enjoyable experience possible.

Can I Bring My Own Action Camera? đŸŽ„đŸȘ‚

Yes, in principle, you’re welcome to bring your own action camera, entirely at your own risk. But to be honest
 we don’t recommend it.

This flight is a unique experience—perhaps something you’ll only do once in your lifetime. Spending the flight worrying about camera angles or pressing buttons often means missing the moment itself. And the footage is often shaky, poorly framed, or simply doesn’t do the experience justice.

Our advice? Forget the technology, enjoy the flight, and let us take care of the memories!

We offer high-definition photos and videos, filmed by your pilot using a latest-generation action camera mounted on an extension pole. Every shot is captured at the right moment and from the best angle, so you’ll leave with amazing memories—and a big smile.

What If I’m Disappointed With My Flight? 😕

Discovering free flight is an extraordinary experience, often far beyond what people expect.

However, because paragliding relies on natural rising air currents to travel and extend the flight, it is impossible to guarantee exactly the same type of flight or the same duration for every passenger.

As a result, two people flying in the same group may have very different experiences, reaching different altitudes or following different flight paths depending on the conditions encountered.

This can sometimes lead to frustration if someone feels they had a « less impressive » flight than another member of the group. We completely understand this, but it is an inherent part of paragliding and something that must be accepted as part of the adventure.

For us, the key word is communication. If anything isn’t meeting your expectations, tell us immediately so we have the opportunity to react and improve your experience. That’s what we’re here for.

Our goal is for you to leave with unforgettable memories and a smile on your face. We will always do our best to find a solution so that you go home with an outstanding memory of your flight.
